A life cycle assessment offers an insight into the environmental impact of fiberglass planters during the life of the container. Fiberglass planters can be considered environmentally friendly because of their low maintenance, durability and reuse. Because they weigh less than comparable materials, less transportation energy is consumed. All of these benefits have a positive impact on conserving resources.
